how to mix pellets and corn for furnace?

was thinking of using a compost "barrel" . the kind you see at the box stores, black plastic, about 10 gal. with side groves that would mix the contents as it is rolled side ways.
can get Hamers hot ones for $238 a ton now and bagged corn is $200. was thinking to mix the two for convenience. don't want to pour them into 5 gal. bucket. too dusty.

company's keep raising the price of pellets it will be the same as natural gas.

I mix mine in the Hopper.
4 buckets of Corn, Dump 1 bucket of Pellets in and stick my hand in and just pull it up thru the bin a couple of times. I've tried other ways of premixing but this seems the easiest for me.

That should work fine. Make it a 50-50 mix.

What furnace do you have? My St. Croix SCF 050 burns corn much better than pellets.
