Looking to buy the husky 564 as it's a fuel injected 62 cc beast,my dealer says not available here in canada till June, any of you guys is the us get them yet?it will be my last saw to go along with my stihl 261.

Husky's answer to the Stihl 400.1? Chainsaw wars. A little more weight than a Husqvarna xp550 yet almost the power of a Husky 572. Looks good on paper.

Why are you switching brands?

If cost weren't an issue, these would be my top 2 firewood saws (weight to power)- but which one?

I know a guy who runs the 500 Stihl's
It keeps up with him, very few issues over that last few years. He cuts wood for a living.
He has a pile of Huskys behind his shop, but no dead Stihls yet. He cuts about 6 cords a day
He said he will not go back to the husky's, to fragile was his words

The stihl 500 is 2k while the husky is 1300,I'll try the husky.im 72 so last saw it will ever buy.

Funny, the Husky guys around there say the same thing about Stihl. (And the Stihl guys say the same thing about Husqvarna)

Both companies make some good saws, as long as you stay away from the low-end, throw-away stuff.

I think both the Husqvarna 564XP and the Stihl MS500i are interesting saws.

The Stihl 500i has some really interesting specs and I've heard some good things about it. However, I don't really have a use for an 80cc class saw (and also don't need to be lugging around an extra 1.2 lbs pound of weight), so have not really been considering the 500i.

If my 562XP get stolen or craps out beyond any economical repair, it's going to be a tough decision on whether to replace it with a Husky 564XP or a Stihl MS 400.1. Specs are very similar. Fortunately, my 562XP is running fine, so I'll have some time to hear how the new 564XP is working out before I have to make a decision.

i want to go to a fuel injected saw, ihave a stihl 261 which is ok but i want more power, the 500 stihl is 2k.too much for me/

There is the 400 and the new 300 out as well in FI saws

From what I can find online the only 2 fi saws on the market are the husky 564 and stihl 500.

Looks pretty enticing, I should sell my MS391 and upgrade! This saw has always left something to be desired, i find my self reaching for my 20” and 28” china saws more often than it.
