Can someone help? I'm not able to figure this one out. I have two enormous trees down and curious as to what they are.

The bark is very very hard. The wood has a strong smell to it that I haven't smelled before. Almost like cleaning solution. It is extremely heavy. Very light colored wood after I split i and it dries a little. Almost white. There are dark streaks running vertical that have a blueish tint to it.

Thanks for any help!

It looks as if the tree was sick from the rounds pics.

100% sure is hackberry. Get it css and off the ground as it will go bad quick if left on the ground. 2 years it will be ready for me but it will be ok after 1 year.

Hackberry I think you are right after looking at a bunch of pics . Looking at the btu chart this isn't red hot firewood, but I probably can get two cords or so very easy. I guess ill do it anyway.

Thanks for the help!

It burns nice, throws decent heat and ignites easily-I'd grab it if I were you! Glad I could help; I was 2 for 2 today with I.D's so I'm "hot today" lol!!
