Thank youYou get most heat per load (!) out of the stove when it's burning most efficiently. That is with the air turned down, as begreen points out.
But you get most heat per hour (!) out of the stove when burning high. That is less efficient (i.e. the ratio of BTUs into your room vs out of the chimney is less favorable). Your load.of fuel will last less long burning high because more of it is going into your room per hour and up your chimney per hour.
Your just realizing this? We have been telling you exactly that since you came here.Just realized this, I been burning since October, and and I get the fire hot then I turn the air control down. It still puts out good heat. I can’t wait for the cold weather!
Well yes, but at the time I was still leaning, and I didn’t think my wood was seasoned enough, but this year it’s good this wood I’m using is 2years old, and another thing is. I wasn’t burning 24/7 and that’s what I changed, so this year this stove isn’t going off, I’m going to keep it going. Last year. I will have it on, and the next day it’s off. And I think that was the problem as well.Your just realizing this? We have been telling you exactly that since you came here.
