Wow, brings a whole new meaning to monster miter saw. I'm with blades in his post above, you'd HAVE to be hitting dirt and rocks every time you plunge that thing through a log, unless you only cut so far down through the log. It's a cool thing to see, but you'd have to be friggin nuts to own and use it!

Why? it's not like it's going to flip that 3-4000lb tractor over. Probably safer than a chainsaw actually. Just nowhere near as versatile and I'm guessing a fair bit more $$ too. Be great for scaring the kids on Halloween too.

A simple cant hook would roll that log onto something to keep the saw out of dirt.

It looks like that blade is spinning just outboard and just inches forward of the operator, at high speed. If that blade hits something heavy and metal, couldn't it send shrapnel into the operator? I see there is a plexiglass shield, which would stop sawdust, but that thing looks like an industrial accident just waiting to happen.
