I love my new englander stove but there are some things I am wondering about..................I had a 25pdv......before and it was a tank...........it wasn't pretty it just pumped out the heat this time I went for a stove with a big window because I LOVE looking at the fire. We'll in about 8 hours most of the glass is gray.....then if I don't clean it....it goes to black...........which is easy to clean.........but still this aggrivates me! Also...the hopper is smaller..............does anyone know of a add on bin for this stove? and lastly how can I slow down the rate of pellets that fall. the fuel level is on 1 now.............I am trying to get this thing dialed in like my last one. it puts out alot of heat but there is alot of heat going out of the stack. someone told me to turn the last button upto 7 at englander...............please help if you can!

Are you talking about the bottom right button, the Air On Temp? That should never be changed from 1.

Who told you to do that? That is increasing the speed of the combustion blower and sending more heat up the stack. Drop that number as low as you can go while still maintaining an active flame and a clean burning fire. That will bump the heat transfer efficiency up slightly. As far as the fuel feed on low is concerned, if the Low Fuel Feed is already set to 1, that's the best you can do.

The factory setting for this stove is 1-1-1, but I raised mine to 1-3-1 just to give a little additional air on low burn to "clean-up" the burn a little....seems to be working fine.

I realize that more Low Burn Air will help clean the burn up and setting it to 3 or 4 should be just fine. Having it set to 7 though, is excessive and is sending far more heat out of the house than is really necessary, especially for the OP which is already complaining about a lot of heat coming out of the stack. Agreed?

Agreed. LBA shouldn't be higher than 2-3 on this stove, IMO.
