Hello all! I am new here and purchased this beautiful stove from a family who has owned it since the 60's I believe. From the research I have done, which I have quickly learned there is not much info on these particular stoves, it is from 1918-early 1920's. It is overall in great condition for the age with only minimal rust in the upper shelf where it touches the stove pipe area. I definitely need to do a thorough maintenance to this stove, seal all the cracks and oil it etc. My questions are:
-Does anyone happen to have any good history on these? I love researching and learning about the vintage items I have but seriously I have found very few resources with minimal info.
-It does not have the oven rack shelf, where does everyone buy their replacements? Its approximately 17" x 17"
-I also need the ash bin, I heard these could be ordered through Lehmans but I didn't see any online (approximately 6" x 17")
-The plates/burneres are cracked but I am guessing this is not a huge issue? They seem to be in functional shape
-What are these teardrop pieces in the back? What is their function and what are they called? I am missing one and don't even know how to search for a replacement.
Thanks so much for all your help in advance.
