I bought a chimney liner kit and i think its the wrong one.It says its for oil fired alliance's.Z Flex Model "OS".

Can this be used or is there one for wood heat???

Thanks John

It does sound like you got the wrong product. It's for lower temp applications. I think the product you want is Z Flex SF (solid fuel):

Z-FLEX “OS” CHIMNEY LINER
The Z-Flex Flexible Liner is intended for use as a chimney liner in masonry
or pre-fab metal chimneys for oil burning appliances listed for use with type
L vents, gas burning appliances equipped with draft hoods or listed with type
B gas vents or listed solid fuel pellet fi red appliances whose continuous gas
temperature does not exceed 570° F.

I did open the box and i cannot find the recite.

Does anybody know the cost of a chimney liner kit??? does it come with the flue blocking plate or will i need to make one.i'm in Connecticut.nobody here is open till Tuesday

They should have a top of the flue cap, but I don't think you'll find one including a damper-seal (block-off plate).

BG do they make one when they do the install??? do you have a ball park figure on price----500 bucks????

Cost is going to depend on length of the pipe, how thick the liner material is etc. You can get one for around five hundred. The three liners I have bought online arrived in two days. They are shipped from the distributors warehouses around the country. Same thing your local dealer will do.

You can make a block off plate from an eight buck piece of sheet metal in the duct work department at Lowe's.

wait is a good thing can save your self 300.00 to 400.00 bucks and it comes in two days buy online

You betcha. The dealer is going to order it from Olympia or National Chimney Supply and get it in a couple of days also. And get a pretty penny for his light bill, water bill, rent and the phone call to the 800 number. Can't blame him. His kids gotta eat too and he has to pay the bills.

I buy all of my piping needs from my local stove shop except liners. He likes me. When I get the wrong thing I figure it is my fault and eat it instead of returning it.

Thanks Hogwildz its the wrong kit.my part # is 20Ilkitxo625

Just return the pipe for exchange or credit. If retail, just go to the guy that sold it to you for an exchange. Reseal the boxes first.
