I officially hate my stove and question please

Now after this year I already did the basics, replaced one fan now I am having MORE issues. The bottom auger motor woke me up at 4 am making noise. I don't know if it is the motor or what. The motor is running but lol it was running last year too till it made noise and started smoking in the middle of the night. I just replaced this motor and the bearing in the bottom auger last year. Sick of this already. Come on spring!

Now I am off to Orschelns to see what motor they carry. Since it is a bottom auger can I use a bigger rpm motor if that is all they have?

Not as critical as the upper auger speed, but I wouldn't go too much faster. Remember that a faster output shaft also means that the motor has less mechanical advantage. That means that there is less torque available when a pellet gets caught between the auger and it's flight.
I wouldn't lose any sleep over going to a 2 rpm motor but at 4 rpm I would start worrying that I caused a problem.

the only parts they have are US stove parts auger motors and they have no info on the boxes so I don't know if one would even work. The employees there know less than I do so I'm screwed there too lol. I could order one online but who knows if it would get here before this one breaks.

Get one off eBay for 65 bucks it's a Gleason Avery I believe it was from easstove or something like that I will check it,I bought 2 from them had them in 2 days work great.

I just bought one off Ebay, not sure what brand it is but it isn't the same as the one I bought last year so we shall see and hope for some better luck here. Hoping it gets here soon. Sick of being cold already this winter. Now to figure out if there is any way to oil the motor I have and try to get it along till the next comes.

Search the forum threads I'm sure there will be one showing you how to oil the motor,if you don't find it here search YouTube I know there are a few on there for it.

They can be flipped.

Thanks I bunch for the posts. I will search and see if I can find somedirection on oiling the motor.

I bought a CCW motor this time but last time we did get one off amazon that we did have to switch over. Soon as I get the new motor I will get another bearing put in the auger too so I don't have to be concerned over that.

Thats a 2 minute fix. Justpop the outboard bearing, unfasten the field laminations flip and reinstall. Don't even need to pull the armature and viola, direction reversed.

If I were you, I'd pull the lower auger out, chuck it in a drill motor and smooth the outer diameter of the flighting. That makes pellets traversing the tube flow more easily.
