I guess I showed her! My wife has been cold and "having
Chills" for the last ten years. Today I loaded up the 30 and
Let er rip. It got to 78 in the great room and 76 in the main
Part of the house. She came downstairs and said " holy crap
It's hot in here!" big smile on my face and another good point
Is that the furnace barely gets to run.

We've been burning two stoves off and on this fall into december and seeing a 75 to 80 degree house temperature has been pretty much the routine - especially when I'm at work and the rest of the crew (lead by my Wife) are working the stoves.

Enjoy the Burn,
Bill

As it should be! Well done!

If you really smart, you will somehow make her thing it was her idea to get the 30 and then you will be a happy man. after 15 years of marriage, i am still a great believer that when she wins, even if i loose, i am happier. A happy chubby wife makes a happy Franklin. LOL>

She's right. I like to keep it under 74.

I want to be comfortable in my house. Therefore we heat until the house reaches that temperature. I don't mind getting cold or even cool outdoors but not in my home.

Keep her nice and warm. I like to keep it warm enough so that the ladies begin to remove some clothing.

Dennis I though I was the only one who felt that way.....lol....NOW WE'RE TALKIN'!!!

I wish I could heat until I reach the desired temp, but haven't found a way to stop at that point other than putting the window fan in and bringing in the 20 degree air from outside. Last night 18 outside and 90 inside with windows open. Wife shedding clothes and skin starting to burn off.

Use less wood Trktrd!

I never put in more than 3 splits at a time. Guess the stove is a bit big for my little 1200 sq ft house. Can't complain though, it was free !

Well, it is difficult to beat the price.

I prefer it the other way around (broken image removed)

Understandable Eileen.

I hope to say those exact words next year Heatmiser. Right now I have the heat (Oil boiler) set at 62 and watch the little ball gauge on the tank drop and drop and drop......But congrats to you and thanks for the inspiration!

LOL, good job and it should be a very enjoyable winter for you if your wife is running around with less and less clothes on!
