Well to update folks, I was the one who had the frost issue, with the pipe, and after a week of removing the insulating plug and just letting the air travel up the tube, we had no further issues with frost dripping when the pipe above the rooflne is hit by am sun.
Install completed yesterday.
Some photos of the stove, and the first burn is going well. For folks information, we are 7" from the back of the extra heat shield on the back of the stove. And although not required, we put fireproof cement board (just in case) on the walls behind the stove.
First load was about 35% full, mix of hickory, maple and red oak, elm, all at least 4 years old. Burned great, cat engaged, life is good.
