Greetings,
The picture I've posted is of an old freestanding oil-fired room heater / drip oil stove, that was in a house built around 1890. I believe the stove was installed maybe from 1930 to 1950. My AI thinks it's maybe made by one of these manufacturers below. The heater was positioned in the main living room of the farm house, in front of the fireplace. I apologize for the poor quality of the image, it's the best I can do. As you can see, it has a unique mildly ornate pattern that should be specific to one manufacture. There is a blanket or something on top of it, probably to dry it out. There are also some image artifacts here and there.

I've done exhaustive image searches with no success in finding it. Hope someone here can do that for me. Thanks so much.

Hi! Welcome to the forum! Could you repost the pic? It isn’t showing up for me. It’s a long shot that a wood burning board will recognize it, but maybe someone will recognize it!

I don't know why the pic didn't post. It was a grainy old pic from around 1961, and it just showed the upper right corner. But that corner, and a portion of one of the hatches on the front of the heater were visible, but a little burred. chatGPT guessed 4 manufaturers and a year range. With that I was able to locate it online. It's a 1947 or 1948 Duo-Therm Home Oil Heating Heater.

This is the original clip I posted from a photo. This was the only pic and clue I had to identify it.

The one in my clip is a passive unit. The company made several adaptations for various fuel types (NG and Oil, maybe something else, I don't know) as well as offering units with power blowers. It was an outstanding furnace, made to look like a piece of furniture.
