just spoke to as fellow who had a strange noise in his pellet stove (wasnt running) he calls in and describes it to me, im trying to figure it out, as customer was removing his exhaust blower. was making noise even though the stove was unplugged.

fellow pulls his exhaust blower out and then literally screams OH CHIT! as a live squirrel bolts out of his exhaust chamber into the room.

ROFL! Time to install a screen on the exhaust pipe!

Just got told of a wood stove owner had a squirrel tear out the catalytic convertor. Forgot to ask if they at least got a dinner out of it.

I took my truck to a shop to have a leak checked, when I opened the hood there was a rabbit neatly tucked in between some hoses. Luckily it did not get into any moving parts as I drove the 5 miles to town, it jumped out and went down to the creek to live happily ever after as a town bunny.

So was the truck leaking or the rabbit?

Mainly the truck cooling system but I imagine the poor little rabbit had a few mishaps on his wild ride.

Went to start up the old valley comfort wood stove one night (pre-pellet over 20 years ago), opened the door and out runs a squirrel. Picture it 2 young boys screaming, dog barking and a squirrel running around in panic looking for a way out:eek: Herded the boys and dog into the bedroom (we only had one at the time), tracked down where the furry critter went (top of the shower stall in the bathroom), and opened the door. Finally got him out the door with the assistance of the broom after touring the curtain rods in the kitchen. Can't imagine why he never came back to visit;lol

I can't believe nobody's asked this: was it a squirrel cage blower?

Yeah I had a starling divebomb my exhaust blower (while running!)...let's just say it didn't end well for it.

Went down stairs one afternoon to start an old smoke dragon we had. As I approached the stove I heard some scratching noise coming from the inside of the stove pipe. Tapped it with my hand and what ever was making the noise went into the chimney. So I closed the damper and loaded the stove with kindling and paper, touched it off, closed the door, and opened the damper. Yep, ended up with roasted squirriel that day.
