My thermostat / Air control had given up the ghost but the new one I ordered for this model stove doesn't fit. The part number I am told is a 500 5506. Thats what I ordered from the supply house but the way the rod is bent its not even close to the same as the old one. I bought my stove in the early 1990s. Anyone else have this issue?

Well they all come such that you can thread them into that cast cover plate then you have to bend the thing around so it will be where you want it. In other words, it's straighter now than it will be when you're done.

That's thye right part number, and ALL Int. II's use the same thermo.

Good luck, and happy bending!
