hate to post this here butttttttttt. is the forum running slow or is it my comcast 6 meg service?
the internet seems fine here and so does my email. there are times when i can write a answer or comment faster than this can change windows.

Its running slow on my end too, I just checked some other sites I frequent and its only this site, must be a busy time.

good sign for the forum. but oh no. that might mean it's time to upgrade the server. that means we might be without the forum. where can i get my fix.

Working fine on my paltry 768K service out here in the sticks.

Edit: Just as I hit submit on the note it started choking. Guess it is time to hit Craig up for a refund of our membership fees.:coolsmirk:

The members have more time to think!

393 members and guests on at the moment. The server is probably getting hammered with searches for the word Fisher.

Hey does anyone (Craig et.al) know how I can post using my Blackberry? I can utilize the fast reply function, but for some reason I can't click on "new topic"-it comes up as plain text instead of a link. I suppose it could be due to the fact that my BB is older than dirt, but I was just wondering. It would be nice to kill time on the train by posting rather than just replying.

Kenny-I'd quote your post if I could but alas, I can't...Anyway, don't let my handheld e-mail device using, Northeast business traveling, yuppie-esque facade fool you. I'm the only guy in my office who knows how to properly gut a deer and reload shotgun shells let alone operate a chainsaw. It's just that about once a month I have to travel to DC for work-having hearth.com on my bb makes it bearable. Well that and trainwatching-I'm a bit of a railfan.

thank you.

i thought it might be the isp i have. it's not what it's cracked up to be.

Any one else getting this when coming to the site:
"you have exceeded the page load limit, please wait 15 seconds and try again"
I get this every couple time, not sure why but its a little annoying

Maybe it's your avatar.

No issues here.

Careful, i can shoot laser from its eyes and zap you

Everyone stop posting in this thread, it's slowing the site's response time!

I have not restarted the server for almost a year......that may speed it up.....etc.

I'll look at it and see what the traffic is doing.
Eh Craig, reboot the server. This is getting painful.

Guys (and gals) that run the trains would call you a "foamer".

Badfish740 and PapaDave, nice to see some railfans on Hearth.com too! Please allow me to be included as the third railfan on this post.
