First fire of the season. It's earlier than I normally start, but I am conducting a science experiment to see if wood does in fact burn.

Turns out, it does!

Nice. Cool dog- looks like my golden-shepard mix (in my avatar pic).

Soon here. My average first fire since we moved to MA is October 23.

High likelihood first fire is tonight. Cold and rainy here in MA. My wife has been away for a week, returning this afternoon. She brought her mom to her mom's college roommate get-together in Williamsburg, VA the weekend before last . Then, they spent a week on OBX. I have a feeling that she'll want a fire after being in NC for a week, and I have the thermostat set for 65. :)

Had first fire last night. Cold and rainy, felt so good.
