Thanks Zap. I'm not entirely sure what I have. This is all the stuff we inherited from the previous owners of the house. When we moved in in 2010 he had all this stuff stacked hard against a fence, four rows deep butt-ended up tight to one another with blue tarps over the top. I had to move all of this wood to the other side of the yard and reclaimed his original area as my go-to stacking location [see this thread here if you're truly interested: https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php/forums/viewthread/74282/ ].
There's some oak in there, and probably a lot of maple. There's also some weird wood I've never seen before that has sort of a champagne colored bark. There's also some real gnarly stuff that I'm guessing might be elm. Some of it got punky due to his idiotic stacking method, but hopefully 12+ months out in the air/sun will be enough to make it useful.
