Well after many tough nights thinking and working on the vermont castings stardance stove it is working flawlessly! We even left it running unintended for 3weeks when we went to Texas -20 below wind chill here!!

I have to say it was fun although

I learned gas valve control and gas pilot light theory!! Figured how to find replacement parts and how to do some subbing to get it going..

Learning all about venting was a big thing and there are no subs for that simply you might kill yourself!!

In reading all these problems here most of them are caused by manufactures adding to many foo dad's to their stoves.. Do you really mind bending over to light your stove?

If you have an outdated stove and the service guy says nope can't be fixed hat your book out read it and think it through it isn't rocket science. If a 77year omg guy can do it so can you!! Bob
