I'm sure after last year the pellet mills have been cranking them out like there's no tomorrow Got my 4 ton of FSU's today from HD pictures to prove it. $227. per ton. Plus $62. delivery. Getting a bit pricey to do all this lugging, though the price of oil, NG & PP will justify it. When will you get yours?

Woke up to under 50 this AM and the house at 65. Daytime high today 65. What summer? That's why I put in early and corn went to under $130 a ton helped the budget. All heating fuels paid for before August this year is almost like sitting in front a warm fire.

Burned for the last couple of years. I believe they are made by Energex, though don't hold me to that. Mix of hard and soft wood. Good heat I have no complaints.

Like I said previously I've had good luck with them. Try a few bags and see if your stove agrees.

Over $2000 just for pellet's?, I would NEVER EVER pay that, sorry buddy you are not saving anything from burning oil or PP, NG is dirt cheap and had a estimate to switch and said I'll be paying $600 a year to heat my cape, $250 a ton would be a most max limit I'd ever spend., said that when I first saw pellet's selling for $180 when they were for year's at $134 a ton at HD.

I've used them, they were ok but high ash compared to what I was used to. I wouldn't care to have FSU in stock for the mid winter burn personally. I don't rank them with a top pellet but they will heat your house. Some folks feel they are made by Energex, I don't know that. Last spring all I could get were Energex, seems to me that " made buy" vs " the same as" are two different things. Energex is ashy too but it seemed easier to deal with to me. Hey could simply be because it was going into spring, burn volume was down compared with mid Feb. I do wish Douglas Fir grew on the east coast though !

I like cheap fuel but $110/ton is too cheap. Is that new season or old?
I am surprised the farmers are prepared to sell it so cheap.

That's not the sell price, that's the price I can go to the elevator and buy price. Have to knock the price down another 20 cents for the buy price per bushel. Harvesting Corn in the southern part of the country is breaking records on dry land. Record was 185 per acre and some acres are hitting 200 bushels. Some of the farmers around here didn't get land planted and are happy they got paid by insurance early in season. Some farmers wont have a choice but to sell as they don't have enough storage space and last year there was a lot of open storage because of the railroads not getting the elevators rail cars delivered because of the Bakken crude taking so much of the rail time.

Like I said, I don't want my garage packed with pellets all summer. Need the room for other things. Also, HD and Lowes don't have them around here that early.

I burn only 3 1/2 tons per season when compared with 600 gallons of oil. DF's may be pricey but I'm still saving in the $800 range.
