Hello all,

I’m new here. Nice to meet you all.
I recently purchased a used Jotul 600 wood stove, similar to this one:

Somebody had it sitting at their house for 30 years waiting. I have taken the thing apart, re-cemented it at waiting to instal the stove to a small yurt.

Small challenge I have; is getting the top baffle to sit neatly in its place. It’s not landing quite enough on the back to sit on the rear lugs. Either there is a gap between the baffle and a back wall, with the baffle floating too high, or when I get the back of the baffle where it looks it would like to go, the front end stays way high and it’s not resting on the side lugs.

Feels like it would need some pushing / wiggling to get it in place. Hesitant to push, so any of nstallation tricks and advice are welcome.

I think, It is quite similar design to early 602s, when it comes to how the burn plates are. Maybe those with experience can help?

Will add photos when I figure out how.
Thanks in advance.

It’s my First time working with a wood stove, all help appreciated!

Greetings from Finland,
Tommi
