Interesting. I'd trade the smell of pellets for coffee beans any day! I would think if anything, the acidic level of the smoke would be a concern. I know coffee grounds are highly acidic, but not sure if that would translate into the smoke or not.
 
The java logs are pretty popular, I guess. And some say they smell like fresh brewed coffee. Hope I see some pellet form to try some day. Not sure about the corrosive issue's and I have the corn/biomass pipe and a multifueller. I am game to try them. My have the cop's hanging round with the donuts ready! hehe

Just another wait and see for a future fuel!
