Hi all, thanks in advance for any help. Just bought a house with an older Jotul 118 installed in beautiful green enamel in great shape...mostly. Unfortunately there appears to be a crack running down the side (pictured). Not sure how serious this is, so:
  • looking for some insight on fixing crack (drill hole to stop?), specific type of refractory caulk/cement to fill crack and then repaint perhaps?
  • Also, noticed one of the inner side burn plates (pictured) appears to be warped. Worth replacing? I think (broken link removed) is a decent resource for sourcing parts. This plate hangs on the same side where the crack is...maybe it's partly the culprit?
  • We are likely changing the purpose of the room that this stove sits in, and as a result we may sell this stove. Rough idea of what it's worth

When I have fired it up, it's wonderfully efficient and the heat outputs amazing. Trying to figure out BTU rating.

There is no fixing it. It is cracked cast the only way to fix it is by replacing the side panel. As far as value 150 or so just as a decorative piece or as a parts stove.
