Didn’t somebody post that Jotul added a cat to the stove? That seems like a big enough change to make a new model number.

Jotul makes a lot more models, just not for sale in the US.

Jotul support got back to me, said the 602 is being upgraded to adhere to the new EPA testing guidelines.

I’m thinking about getting one this upcoming year. I miss having my little old stove installed. I like that the v3 is more efficient and has better clearance.
I wonder why it has a 4” vent that has to be
Increased to 6”. I thought it was better not to increase?
Planning on going out an outside wall and preferably vented out the back opening and not the top.

If it's like all other F602s then the flue collar is 120mm or 5". They adapt it up to 150mm or 6" because that is the most common US size.

I think around here you can get the new V3 for a bit under $2k. I wouldn’t mind trying one out in my workshop some day so I can compare it to my old 602 CB
