I grew up around woodstoves and recently bought my first for our new house. It's an F3 in the majolica. It will sit in on end of our long kitchen and be the focal point of a sitting area to keep my wife warm this winter. I'm having trouble figuring out the clearances in the manual. We're rear venting with single wall pipe and the chart says the clearance is 25" with or without a wall shield. How is this possible? Also, are these measurements from the pipe venting out the back or from the back of the stove? Thanks for any advice.

It does seem odd, the Castine goes from 25" to 18" with a protected surface and single-wall rear exit. Maybe a typo? Contact Jotul to see. Or use double-wall pipe to reduce it to 14" or 6" with a properly shielded wall.
