Jotul Rockland C550 installation width

The Jotul requirements for the 550 insert calls for 33" width. The specs show a 30" wide unit. Is there a trick to get this in my 32" wide fireplace? (I seem ok on all other measurements)

You're gonna have a problem with the electrical junction box
located on the lower left side of the unit.
I don't think you'll be able to get the unit perfectly
centered in your opening unless you've got the 33",
because of how far that junction box sticks out...

Thanks, dasky. How far back is the junctionbox from the front of the unit? Is this part of the assembly that can be moved to either side? Anyone have photos?

It's directly behind the faceplace. The junction box itself actually isn't the problem.
Jotul uses a funky kinda right angled plug on the end of their power cord,
that sticks out about 1.5" from the side of the insert.

Is this part of the assembly that can be moved to either side?

Yes. It can be mounted to either side

Not yet, but I'll try to get one of our showroom model today,
IF I can get the pix into this forum from my crummy work computer...

Thanks for the effort, dasky! I couldn't ask for a better response if you were actually selling this to me! I think this could easily be retrofitted with a flexible adapter. Just not sure what the warranty and code implications would be.
