I want to put a Jotul F55 v2 in a fireplace opening. It is too tall even with short legs. If I made legs that were 2" tall it would fit. Is this going to goof up anything?

The short leg kit includes a bottom heat shield. With 2" legs, make sure that nothing on the bottom of the stove is compromised. (air intake, air valve, etc.) Maybe save the legs so that the stove can be resold at a later date with them and place the stove on bricks? (Note that this will likely void any insurance coverage)
