guess i have a ton for the really cold days now. A bit hotter then Somersets for sure

Only pellet that made me say WOW last year!!!!!

I been swearing by them for 3 years now.
Love'em
But they have become expensive over the years.
Used to be a cheaper alternative to Okies.
Now....not so cheap.
Great pellet.

Dumb question:
How do pellets "burn hotter" if your stove is run by a thermostat. Does that mean they produce more heat with less pellets being burned, and a bag lasts longer?

Are the Vermonts still turning the glass black?

not at all you might have your feed rate to high

3 1/2 on my feed rate. Last season when I was burning them they made my glass black. No other pellet did that to my stove. Great heat and low ash though.

Where are you guys finding the Vermonts? I burned them last year and loved them, but now can't find them. :(

i got mine off CL some guy was dumping pellets i think 225 for 2 ton vermonts and MWP :P

A buddy of mine got 1 ton of vermonts for $150 on CL. Unbelievable..For now on, I'm shopping on CL for my pellets :)

Ok, based on the reviews I bought six bags today. I got them at Home and Hearth in Hampton Falls, NH. They get $279 a ton, $20 local delivery. I am impressed! On the lowest setting, I have been seeing 130 degrees from my heat exchanger. I cleaned the stove, dropped in a bag of the Vermonts and saw 139 to 140 degrees. I've been burning since about 4 and the glass is nice and clean.

Oh, no fines in the bag either!

yes on the fines, WHAT FINES lol i have to mention i bought these vermonts off a guy on CL they were in his basement so they were handeled quite a bit
his pickup unloading to the basement stacked
them removed from his and into my trailer stacked in my garage and still no fines, thats pretty impressive to me

better than this years okies n black hills.

I just bought stock in Inferno

bah im not buying it you were willing to buy more and i offered to trade and you still keepem. and you could of returned them by now ;lol
