Our auger motor won't shut off even after it's been powered down. The motor still runs. We either have to unplug it after the pellet stove is shut down properly or open the hopper lid to use the safety switch.
We are lost as to why. It ran fine since we bought it in January.
Help please?

How does the stove shut down properly if the auger motor doesn't stop? Am I missing something?
The auger motor running out of control sounds like a shorted triac on the control board, but that would keep feeding pellets and the stove wouldn't shut down.

Brain box, brain fart

Is the stove running thru a surge suppressor? Any electrical outages, storms? Sounds like something fried.
