I have just purchased a king pellet 5502 stove and it is hooked up properly and burning great. My biggest question is, how do you adjust the noise from the blower.. It's rather loud and I have tried adjusting all settings but the sound of the blower motor is a bit loud..

FirepotPete or mustangwagz are members that know the US stoves the best .... Did you see the service manuals in the USSC troubleshooting thread on the top of the pellet mill first page?

Mommy 2602, if no one has told you, it's best to get your pellet stove on a surge protector. The boards and sometimes motors and such are susceptible to power surges and the King 5502 boards are not cheap. That added protection seriously can save you some future expense. Here locally we had some surges and brown outs and my surge protector actually fried, my Harman board did not lOL . I'm pretty certain it would have been a goner . I know our tenant lost a microwave in all that. Each season we get two or three members who lost boards and often they were not on surge protection.

Thank you. I do have a surge protector on the stove outlet.

Thank you , I do have a surge protector on the stove outlet. On another note; why does it spit pellets all over? I seem to be wasting about 1-2 cups per burn? I also by low ash pellets and about a half hour into a burn I can't even see through the window. We have TOTALLY shut it down and literally shop vac'd EVERY day the entire inside. Is this Normal? Plus as its burning after a bit the exhaust motor sounds like it's shutting off and humming on and off like it can't get started again. Is this normal?

The combustion motor speed will vary while it runs from what other users have described. If you are losing pellets out of the burn pot, sounds like your combustion fan may still be up a bit too high. When making adjustments, allow a minimum of 1/2 hour between changes so you can gauge effectiveness. Also a good idea to record original settings and changes made so you can either go back to your starting point or to settings that work the best for the pellets you are using.

On the USSC troubleshooting sticky on the first page of the Pellet Mill, there is a link from Firepot Pete on how to perform a deep clean on your pellet stove. If you have been burning steady for a month, you need to perform a deep clean to remove ash from the internal exhaust passages on the stove.

Forgot to say, welcome to the forum!

It sounds like you haven't perfected your settings for those pellets just yet.

And yes, welcome to the forum !

Welcome!

Couple of issues it looks like. First which control board do you have? Is it the four button with ON-OFF-Auger- Mode on the bottom?

Do you the OAK (outside air kit) installed?

The pellets popping out is definitely to much air, this will also cause the blackened glass. I know most times black glass is a sign of not enough air but what is happening is that when to much air is drawn through the stove you will see the pellets bouncing out of the pot and then the stove doesn't reach a high enough temp to totally burn the pellets and you will get the black glass.

Like Lakegirl said, write down your current settings before adjusting anything. Try and cut back on the exhaust a little at a time, you should be able to watch and see when the pellets no longer jump out and then you should be close on the exhaust setting. After that you will need to adjust the feed rate so the stove doesn't over flow or not feed enough and burns out. It take some messing around but once you have it burning good only small adjustments should be needed for different pellets.

Yes the exhaust fan will ramp up and down but it is not shutting down completely. Once the stove reaches a good operating temp you should not hear it ramping up and down. That is caused by too much air, so if changing the exhaust fan setting lower doesn't stop the issues you are having then I would suspect an air leak somewhere. The stove is sensing more air than it needs and ramping up and down, just like it does when first lighting it until operating temps are reached.
