Had a small standard wood stove for several years ("vermont casting" for 5 then a "century heat" for about 18). they were VERY simple and had no issues (occasional ooops on my part and smoked up the house). So i have retired the wood stove and installed a used king pellet kp130. reviews say they are a hit/miss kinda stove. so far, i can't say anything bad, however......
my questions : is there a way to even tell it is working like it should ?
it's set on Hr-2, takes 5-6 min to light. once going, i get a good flame, then it will cycle with too much air then back to "normal flame".
i have yet to notice or be able to tell any changes in any of the settings. (fans seem to have one speed).
hard to measure pellet consumption rate.
