After some trouble with the door not sealing properly on the hinge side of my stove and an email to the manufacturer. Then a hardrive crash.then a phone call from Jason Freeman @ Kuma. The door was found to be defective. So they wanted to know if it would be ok to replace the whole unit to avoid future problems from the air leak. So today I am going to sweep the chimney, clean out the stove, unbolt the legs ,load it up and drop it off at the dealer, load up the new stove ,bolt on the legs , and let the break in fires begin. Customer Service/Satisfaction = A+. they gave me the choice of drop gate at my door or transfer through dealer. I am glad we purchased this stove from the Freeman family. They stand by their product 200%. Merry Christmas to me ;-)

It's great that this was caught early. Nice to hear it worked out well for you.

Post a pic of the replacement, please. I don't think I have seen a Kuma unit.

I really wanted a Kuma but it wouldnt fit into my FP. Those things are heating beasts.

Kuma stoves is an amazing operation. They operate with less than 10 employees and are committed to supporting USA manufacturing even when lower cost parts are available from China. Mark Freeman is a committed Christian and is someone you can always trust.

It is always so good to hear of a manufacturer who stands behind his product and does his customers right.

Congratulations to you.
