Just bought 3 of these, 2 in 15w-1100 lumens and 1 in 25w-1800 lumens, non-dimmable ceiling fixtures. I installed one of the 15w to replace a similar fixture using 2 x 15w pin tube florescents. Much brighter, whiter light, looks nearly like the Solatube tube light we have in the same hallway. The 25w is going to replace a 20w x 4 florescent fixture, and the other 15w will replace another ceiling fixture.

Thanks for posting. We have a 9" 30w circular fluorescent in our kitchen that this would nicely replace. It's rated at 2200 lumens, but that's only when new. The light output falls off gradually as the ends darken.

Nice find - about a year or so ago I ended up replacing a failing flourescent fixture with a (thicker/larger) 3 bulb incandescent fixture and then putting in LED bulbs to drive it.

How even is the light output from the fixture?

Looks like these might have been a better option... well, when this one fails :)
