Let the heat go up!!

Let's see all those inefficient, wood burning fireplaces that smoke, and let most of the heat right out the top of the chimney....This one is in our kitchen, I had a nice wood burning stove insert in there when I first moved in, but after adding the Greenwood I decided that at least in this room, i wanted the very basic, very simple, masonry fireplace....the cat and i love sitting in front of the open fire. No doors, no steel, no fans, so for all of you wood/heat wasters, let's see them....

Here's mine, it only really gets used in the spring and fall. We love it though!
