One told the other that he is Italian and does not appreciate the word being pronounced 'I' talian. They were advised to stay away from one another."

Side story: Worked for a VP named Galante. I asked him if he was related to Carmine. He said "We don't talk about that.". I didn't. ::P
 
I was raised in New York, pronouncing it "I" talian would get you whacked............................
