Just read the news here on LI. Its the same all over I am sure. NG also has been going up rapidly.
Now I have even greater incentive to hunt down free wood and process it. I am spreading the word and helping anyone I can so we can take the oil barons and tell them where to go. I am new to burning this year and this forum is incredible and I have learned so much here.
How much have prices been inflated in your area? Here in the east we are in one of the coldest seasons in many years. It has given the oil producers a perfect excuse for gouging.
Just my rant for the day as I am so toasty sitting near my fireplace.

Don't believe the BS about the shortage. Damn Oil and gas companies see an opportunity to put a little extra money in there pockets. Big oil, gas and electric can kiss my*** as I sit here in an 85 degree room full of free heat;lol

Each time I see an oil truck in my neighborhood I am reminded at how happy I am to have installed my stove this fall. My house is warmer than it has been in years and I don't need the oil man. :)

My natural gas rate has not changed at all recently. Good to live in a state where the utilities have to get govt approval for rate hikes I guess :)

Darn socialists ;)
