I used to fret about getton on the beds and funiture. Now I just throw blankets down, and put covers on the bed that I don't need to worry about. I would rather have their freindship than to worry about dirty feet. You just got a best friend that always love you more then you realize! Good for you, Miss Molly looks great! She'll be in your bed in no time,,but happy!
Nothing wrong with having a happy wife! And, somewhere inside, you know you will be happy too!I can't show my wife this thread or I will end up getting a lab puppy within the next 48 hours.
Sweet dog, enjoy her!
Goldens are wonderful dogs. My daughter has a 7 month old one who is a handful while in his puppy stage. My wife wants a golden retriever..but we will wait until the kids are a weeee bit older! 5 months and 2.5 years makes for long days...couldn't imagine a puppy in top of that !
We do the same putting down the blankets.. Minimal rugs as well... Pups always slept on our bed at night,,, as soon as you felt him or her get up and start moving around,,, you know it's time to go out,, middle of the night or not,, it made for really quick house breaking and saved a clean up in the house... We've done it with all of our pups,, it's always worked out great..once to big for the bed they just slept in their own dog bed by our bed... The smaller breeds could sleep on our bed as they grew up.. I do wipe their feet before they come in if my dogs have been out running in the woods with me and have muddy feet..in fact my one dog always stops inside the front porch and will wait for a foot wipe or a tap on the back to say it's OK to go into the house,,, pretty smart they are...I used to fret about getton on the beds and funiture. Now I just throw blankets down, and put covers on the bed that I don't need to worry about. I would rather have their freindship than to worry about dirty feet.
We even took most the rugs out and have gone with hard flooring.
