I found the good folks in this forum helpful (essential, really) when I was selecting a wood stove to purchase. After a season of use, I've concluded I need a wood shed as well. The measures I thought would keep my firewood dry did not prove as I thought they would.
Here's the fun part: I can't really afford to have someone else build the shed, and I'm a numbskull when it comes to carpentry. Ok, maybe not that bad, but my work leaves something to be desired.
I'm looking for some basic three-sided shed ideas with some step-by-step instructions. It needs to be strong enough to hold up against Montana winds. I'd like the walls to keep rain/snow out but allow some air to move through. I plan to use pallets for the flooring rather than pour a pad. I'd like to be able to store 6 or 7 cords at a time, at least.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!
