Looking to buy new stove

Hello,

Looking to replace my Federal Airtight large stove. I'm down to a decision between a Vermont Castings Savannah Series large (SSW40) and a Vogelzang Ponderosa. I don't know much about the Vogelzang brand. Anyone have experience with either of these models?

I don't know much about the Vogelzang, however, reviews of Vermont Castings products have been quite negative in recent years. Look at how many one-start ratings there are, and then compare that to Blaze King, Woodstock etc.

I agree and most reviews on the Vogelzang have been unfavorable but some of their stoves seem to be okay. I'd still be uncomfortable with one.

Friend has a volzengang performer. Heats over 2000 sq feet easily. Second season with it.
