Last winter, my leyden started building ash up in front of the burn pot. When it was new, the ash built up on the sides. I tried replacing the door gasket, but no luck there. Cleaned the entire vent, no real change. I got to wondering this summer if my combustion motor may be weakening and it just doesn't pull the air through like it used to. Does anyone have any other ideas?

The first thing I would do is to clean the exhaust. the motors can slow down but they usually make noise and quit. After it is clean I would lube the motor with a single drop of 3 in 1 oil.

Make sure that stove is really clean.

I clean the stove several times a week during the season, and the vent a couple of times a season. The last time the dealer was here fixing the bushing for the base of the auger, the tech was very impressed with the way i kept it.
