I have an older Osburn Insert that I bought used.

It came with a fan, it moves alot of air. But it has two settings, loud, and LOUDER!

It's not the sound of the air moving, it's the motor that I hear so much.

Is it possible to pull the fan apart and oil the motor anywhere? I'm sure it's pretty dry...

Well if you do pull the fan off I'd clean it out with some compressed air too.

thats waht I do. I bought a can of that compressed air. Didnt even pull it off the stove. Turn the fan off first though so all of the dust doest go blowing through the stove areas..Have your vaccume ready cause you will be amazed how much dust come out of there...Mine quieted down instantly
