Found a Harman P61 on Kijiji, guy said it had some issues, went and picked it up yesterday...what a find! Fuse in the board was blown, replaced it and all the lights came on and ran fine in test mode. It was full of creosote, so must’ve ran low for a longtime was what I was thinking...Fired it up and the flame was a bit lazy...lots of smoke, and I could hear a whistle...checked the air intake and the flapper was jammed closed, once opened it ran like it should. It came with all piping except appliance Adaptor, I think that was one of the other problems as well. Also one of those novel powered by heat fans.

Yeah, that's a great buy. Congrats. Let us know how the install goes and how it performs. $200 is crazy.

A bit of an update...scraped all of the creosote out and stripped, sanded the firebox and ashcan, painted with VHT flat black. Let the paint dry a few days and burned in the paint. The stove runs pretty quiet however I’m going to change out the OEM dual combustion fan with a new single blade before install. Here are a few photos of what I’ve done.

Cleaned up and revived, the newer P61-2 stove is complete and ready to heat our place. Pretty happy with how it turned out. My old P61-2 will be installed next door this weekend hopefully.

Looks great. Good job. I really like what you did with the dog bowl on top.
