Hi all

I wonder if all other m55 owners experience periodic high pitch fan whine, especially whe the stove is on a cooling cycle. Mine does it on auto off on, not high low Mode.

Anything to sweat?

Depends on whether or not you have the new convection blower. The old blower is supported on one end with a bushing which will eventually squeal. The new blower is supported on both ends by ball bearings and shouldn't make any abnormal noise.

Mine is quiet, but I only run in Hi/Low

Hello

I had an Enviro EF-2i that had a wicked high pitch wine all the time. Finally replaced with a generic A082 Fasco Blower and now it is wisper quiet!

Hi clee, in cooling down mode, the convection blower shifts to high speed to dissipate heat quick and shut off everything. Could that be the issue even these super quiet units Enviro makes (Sherwood makes your stove for Regency too) can be a little noisier on high speed (5).

Enviro EF3 pellet FS
Enviro Empress FPI AC
Enviro Kodiak 1700 FS wood

Actually, it depends on which version motherboard you have. My convection blower stays at the same fan setting during shut down. So, if it was running on heat level 1, the blower stays at heat level 1 speed during shut down.

Thanks for that info fly, hadn't heard of that.
