Hi, I recently purchased an Enviro M55 pellet stove after reading many comments from this forum, and got it installed by a contractor. This stove now has two issues that even the contractor doesn't know how to fix. He called the dealer for technical support but it's been 3 weeks and got no answers. I'd like to try my luck of asking question here.

Issue 1: Indicator light 1 went off. There are 5 indicator lights on the control panel and lights 2 - 5 work well. Light 1 is always in dim/off mode.
Issue 2: Feed Trim button doesn't work. Once I hit it, nothing happens. It used to dim the indicator lights to show which level it was at.

Does anyone had a similar issue before or knows what could cause the issue? Thanks.

Hi luna- sounds like it can only be a couple of things, the ribbon cable connections between the daughter board and control board (Motherboard) or the actual daughter board or motherboard. I'd check ribbon cable pins for seating and connectivity first. Good luck

I agree with StoveLark --- Check the ribbon cable that runs from the motherboard to the control board, make sure its not getting eaten by the convection blower motor, this was an issue for awhile in the first versions, but I'm told its been corrected in new models. If that's not the issue I'm guessing its the motherboard based on a similar experience. Are you running manual or with a T-stat?

I had a problem with with the combustion air trim button stop working after mine reset when I powered it down for self-service, after plugging it back in. It began working after I uplugged it, waited a few minutes and plugged it back in. Not very scientific, but try a reset to start if it hasn't been done already. Make sure you turn the stove off and allow it to fully complete the shutdown cycle before depowering it. Then let it rest at least a minute or two to discharge any capacitors before plugging it back in.

As far as the dim/non-working light I would have to agree with StoveLark as well...

Thank you for all your help. My stove now has another new issue besides the dim light... The stove shuts off by itself after running 5 min... There was no flashing light, there're pellets left in the pot...I did read manual but it is not very helpful. Does this new issue possibly have anything to do with the dim light issue?

I'm running manual.

sounds like the motherboard to me. I've seen some thing similar and it turned out to be the MB.

agree with Handyman that it could be the MB. or the ribbon like Stovelark suggested. if it still under warranty let the dealer fix it. a MB is expensive.

Awesome to hear you're running again, the M55 is (normally) a great stove...
