M55 on thermostat

Hi All - i have my new M55 plugged into a programmable thermostat. The thermostat is working ok based on my multimeter and i think the stove is reacting ok but the heat level led doesnt change to reflect the low mode. Running in high/low mode and it appears to stay in level 3 the whole time.

I don't believe the control board changes when running with a thermostat.

Yes that is the way it works

My M55 will not reflect changes on the LED. In Hi/Lo mode you set your high temperature and when the thermostat calls for heat the stove will ONLY go to the highest setting you chose. When the Hi Set temp is reached, it automatically kicks down to the lowest setting the stove will allow until the thermostat calls for heat again.

It appears your stove is working well.

Hi all, not sure how this relates to the discussion but...my M55 is hooked up to a Lux 7 day programmable t-stat. When the stove is set to AUTO, I can do anything I want from the t-stat.....it's great. However, in shoulder season the stove will frequently turn its self off and back on...thus more ignitor wear. If I want to just keep the stove running then I put the stove on Hi-Low, but in this position we cannot shut off the stove with the t-stat, it won't shut off! It only shuts off from the t-stat when the stove is in Auto mode. Does this sound right or do I have the t-stat jumper wire wrong.....

Sounds right, on Hi/Lo you will need to push the button on the stove to turn it off. Turning it off at the thermostat should just kick it to Lo where it will stay. The thermostat wiring to the stove is simple, it either Calls for heat or no heat. No heat on hi/Lo is Lo, no heat on auto will be Lo, and it will go into shutdown if there is no call for heat in 20 minutes (I think that is the time).
