First fire this Summer... 16°C out and drizzle, going down to 11°C tonight, 9°C tomorrow, and 5°C Monday. I'll have to resplit and bring in more wood.

Eeee...where in NW ontario do you live? I am avoiding fires for at least another month and a half. With the ground nice and warm, my basement is 23 degrees and I will let the sun warm the upstairs for now...

My wife is Canadian and as I'm reading this thread she starts laughing, she's a little rusty on her conversions. Looks like the Canadian folk will be starting early.
C or F, it's still cold. Got the house up to 70°F now so I won't need to put on a sweatshirt. Last night we had windows open trying to cool off the place.

wish the temps were that cool here. my wife was yelling at me today cuz it was 80's and humid today and i kept saying did i mention i hate this weather. i really do hate humidiy. just cant wait for fall to get here.
If I had to burn this early I'd move. Seriously, some of you started burning in August. My wood consumption would be massive(er).

Been loading the stove and scraping the frost off of the windows on the work vehicle a few times now.

We don't get lake effect snows here. When we lived at Gaylord and also in the upper peninsula, then we did get lake effect snows. In fact, in the years we lived at Gaylord we never saw a winter with less than 200" of snow. A little less where we lived in the UP, near Escanaba but that was because we were on the wrong side of the lake there. Still had plenty though.

Sitting here in shorts and a t-shirt with the a/c on. I don't think we'll be doing any burning for a month or so.
