Hey there,

We have a Majestic gas fireplace and last year there was times it would start and sometimes it wouldn't. ( pilot light is on) Sometimes you would have to turn it on and off ( the side switch) to get it to start then one day.. nothing. By then it was spring and we didnt' get around to getting it checked and now it is winter again and still not working. Just wondering if anyone had any idea's on what it was? I was thinking because last year it would sometimes start and then nothing it would have something to do with the on/off switch??? But I have no idea really... any thoughts would be appreciated!

Thanks

It cloud be the switch but more likely it is the thermopile or a bad conetion on the themopile. have a sevice tech come take a look it is a easy fix most likely.

Could be

weak thermopile
loose wire
bad wall switch
bad gas valve (not common)
