Hi!
I’m new to this site. Was hoping to find some advice on painting chimney pipe to match a new Bordeaux Vermont Castings Encore stove we are purchasing. We have high ceilings, and buying the matching enamel pipe was going to cost a fortune, but we were told we can paint black pipe with high temp paint and get a decent match? Stovebright was recommended- anyone have any success with it? If so, what color? Mojave red or Russett appear to be the closest looking possibilities. Any advice is appreciated! Thanks!

Red (bordeaux) is notoriously hard to match as the colour actually changes when the stove is hot. VC (used to anyway) offer matching enamel pipe, but only in single wall. If trying to match with regular high temp paints you would not get the glossy style of the stove either (Stove Bright produces a red Gas Vent Paint that is high gloss, but the medium temperature rating would not survive on a wood stove). Main thing I would suggest is to test in a small, less visible area to see how you like it.

Black is typically safe, as it matches everything, plus many of the visible non enameled parts are painted with Stove Bright Satin Black anyway.
