Has anyone had an issue with burning Spruce Pointe pellets in their Regency pellet stove? My dealer said that they would not recommend the use of a softwood pellet.

I burn sprucies in my Omega without a hitch(same engine as the M55). My stove l;oves them! Sounds like your dealer is one of them diehard hardwood only believers. Enviro is in Canada and softwoods are about all they run these stoves on for many of the testing. If you don't belive, Give the CS a call. And check out the video's for the M55 steel. You will see them burning Pinnacle's softwoods.

If its not in the manual, I doubt your dealer is correct. IMHO they need to get educated. Softwoods are some of the best stuff out there. Send them here and we'll give them the scoop on softwoods!
