Hello,

Is there a minimum clearance between the top of the flexible flue liner and the bottom of the rain cap? I currently have about 5 inches, but could trim down the coupling portion of the top plate (even though it is called bottom plate on the website - it is what the supplier recommended - (broken link removed to https://www.lindemannchimneysupply.com/Ventinox-DuraFlex-Bottom-Plate)). I also reused the existing rain cap, as I am not sure the one I purchased is any taller

The photo does not show it too well, but I'm not hoping on the snowy roof today.

You might find this old thread helpful. Sounds like 5" clearance is fine.
