Question:
We would like to install a small box wood stove in our mountain mobile home. Many models we like specify "not for mobile homes". Is this because of the lack of outside venting and could we vent the area around the stove to overcome this--say with a tube to the outside--or by opening a window? Or does the venting have to be direct to the firebox? Thanks.
Answer:
There are varied factors, including: Chimney Support Clearances Outside Air
Yes, the air has to be right into the firebox...
Many small stoves are all set to install in mobile homes. Check around and find one that is ready to go.
